RECIPE: BROWN SUGAR SHAKERATO

Looking for that perfect afternoon pick-me-up? For an invigorating non-alcoholic drink, a Caffe Shakerato is hard to beat.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2oz espresso or 3oz strong coffee – we like Camilla’s Organic from our friends at Nossa Familia Coffee
  • 0.5oz of Portland Syrups Brown Sugar Simple Syrup (or more depending on your tastebuds)
  • coffee beans to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice, pour espresso or strong coffee
  2. Add .5oz of Brown Sugar Simple syrup (or more, depending on your tastes), secure the lid and shake for at least 45 seconds to ensure a good chill
  3. Strain into a chilled glass, garnish with coffee beans (optional) and serve immediately (should be frothy on top)

NOTES

Place serving glass in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before making this drink to ensure the drink is served as cold as it can be
