RECIPE: Watermelon Margarita

Perfect for a crowd, this sunny, refreshing cocktail is sure to be a hit at your next summer party. To make it a mocktail, skip the tequila and substitute club soda.

Ingredients

  • 1 heaped cup ice cubes
  • 3 cups watermelon cubes
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1½ oz. orange liqueur, such as Cointreau
  • 5 oz. tequila blanco
  • Melon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the ice cubes, watermelon, sugar, lime juice, orange liqueur, and tequila to the blender jar. Cover tightly with the lid, select the Cocktail setting, and press the button to run the program. Alternatively, blend manually until the desired consistency is reached.
  2. Once the program has finished, remove the lid and pour the margarita into glasses. Serve garnished with melon slices, if you like.
