To celebrate the return of the Cuisinart Trade In and Trade Up we are sharing recipes that feature the work horse of any kitchen: the Food Processor!
31 days of recipes… sauces and breakfasts, desserts and prep tasks. The Food Processor really does do it all.
To cap this off, how about a nice custard tart? It starts with a familiar pastry recipe (remember all the way back to Day 4’s Pie Crust recipe? It is similar but with an egg yolk instead of the lard). Then a delectable vanilla custard is topped with fresh strawberries.
For the berries we really like the Stem Gem from Chef’n. It makes quick work of a tricky paring task (and, c’mon, it is pretty darned cute, too). Once you’ve hulled the berries you could slice them using the food processor’s slicing disc. What won’t these things do?
